Yam And Kontomire or Spinach Stew

Ingredients List

Yam
Spinach or Kontomire
Scotch bonnet or pepper
Onions
Fresh tomatoes
Salt fish
Avocado ( optional )
Palm oil
Teaspoon of salt (optional )
Onga (optional )
Eggs (optional)
Peanut butter (optional)

Cooking Methods

Firstly peel your yam, cut into the size you want and put them in a saucepan.

Add a dash of salt to the yam and then add your salt fish as well. Cover it and bring it to boil.

In a different saucepan, wash the spinach or kontomire and bring that to boil too.

Now get your blender or asanka. Wah one tomaoes, any amount of scotoch bonnet peppers you want, peel half of onoins and wash it as well. Cut all these in ingerdient into your blender or asanka and blender them. Half way through the blender ingerdient, you can add a dash of salt or onga, you also add a teaspoon of peanut butter then blend again.

If you are happy with the consistent of the blender ingredient, you can now add a bit of your salt fish and your spinach or kontomire and blend them as well.

check on your yam to see if is cook or soft. If is cook, take it off from the fire and drain the remaining from the yaw out and set it aside to cool down.

In a small saucepan put small aount of palm oil in, add the remaining half on the onoins. As these are frying up, you can you remaining salt fish and bring them to fry also to your taste.

Now you can the fry mix to your blender mix in the asanka or spoon it from the blender into a bowl.

Your Yam and Kontomire or Spinach is ready to be serve.
