Vegan Karaage using frozen tofu.
It gives it a similar texture to meat.

0:10 〜0:30 defrost the tofu
2:32〜3:35 after thawing tofu
—Recipe— two servings
200g firm tofu (frozen overnight) / 木綿豆腐
seasoning sauce ;
1tsp veggie stock powder / 野菜スープの元
2tbsp water / 水
1tbsp cooking-sake / 酒
1tbsp sesame oil / ゴマ油
powder mixture ;
1tbsp starch / 片栗粉
1tbsp flour / 薄力粉
coating sauce :
2tbsp Gochujang / コチュジャン
2tbsp mirin / みりん
2tbsp water / 水
1tbsp sugar / 砂糖
1/2tbsp grated garlic / おろしニンニク
※ I recommend not to use Silicone Spatula when you cook gochujang paste.
My spatula colour turned to Red…. Be careful 🙂
