What do I do Y’all? ๐| Orange Vanilla Monkey Bread Recipe & more! | Southern Cooking
Hey family! In today’s video it’s Mother’s Day and we start out the morning with some Orange Vanilla Monkey Bread before church! For supper we go to Fresco’s International Kitchen and finish the day off at the Ice Cream Parlor!
Orange Vanilla Monkey Bre recipe:

Ingredients:
3 cans (7.5 Ounces Each) Buttermilk Biscuits (not The Flaky Kind), Cold NOTE: I had the big biscuits, 16oz, so I used one and a half cans.
1 c. Sugar
2 whole Oranges, Zested
1 dash Salt
2 sticks Salted Butter
3/4 c. Brown Sugar
1 tbsp. Vanilla Extract
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 F.
Open all the cans of biscuits and cut the biscuits into quarters. Fill a large Ziplock bag with the granulated sugar, the orange zest, and the dash of salt. Seal the bag and shake it around until the zest and the sugar are totally combined. Add the biscuit pieces to the bag, seal it and shake/toss it around until all the biscuit pieces are coated in the orange sugar. Pour the pieces into a bundt or tube pan and set it aside.
In a medium pan over medium heat, melt the butter then stir in the brown sugar and vanilla until just barely combined. Pour the mixture all over the biscuit pieces, scraping the pan to get all the butter/brown sugar out of there. Let it settle for a second, then place the pan in the oven.
Bake for 25 minutes, or until the top of the biscuits are golden brown. Then remove the pan from the oven and set it on a rack. Let the pan sit for at least 10 minutes (but no more than 15), then turn the cake out of the pan onto a cake plate.

Ok, so we should have like a rating or something, let’s do a Yum Scale… 5 being the BEST! and 1 being the worst…

I hate to give bad reviews, but I want to tell y’all what we really thought that way you know if you want to try it. First of all, this wasn’t our first time visiting Fresco’s. We’ve given it more than one try, but this will probably be our last visit. Some of the food is ok… That’s why we gave them 2 Yums๐ But yeah, most of the food is not that great and doesn’t really look good either. The restaurant itself is just not very clean, the bathrooms are not very clean, and the silverware they bring out to you is not very clean… We thought maybe we just went on a bad day last time, but it was the same this time too. Like I said, I hate to give a bad review, but I don’t want y’all to go there thinking it’s going to be good and have a bad experience. ๐ค

Iโm gonna try this using vanilla sugar. I keep a 1/2 gallon jar of vanilla sugar, itโs amazing!

LEMONADE PIE
Ingredients:
1 graham cracker crust
1 can frozen lemonade (other juices can be substituted)
1 can condensed milk
1 tub of whip cream
Blend all three ingredients together and pour in pie crust
Set in fridge until ready to eat ( you can also freeze this pie for up to 7 days)
Super easy, twice as good

The flowers are meant to stay in the hanging basket but temperatures and adverse weather conditions can dry out the soil very quickly. If they were mine I would move them to the ground. Water them good about twice a week. More than that if the temps get over 90 degrees. The pink and white ones are petunias. I don't know what the white star shaped flower is. I an not well versed in flowers and plants.

Monkey bread seems like the perfect solution to finish off that left-over bread. We do the same here in Belgium with bread pudding.

Hi Falon, beautiful Mother's Day cards. The flowers stay in the basket, the pink ones are petunias and will bloom all summer, but you have to dead head the flower. Don't just pull the dead flower off, you have to cut off the green leaves behind the flower itself. You can find instructions on you tube. Love your PJ's. Stay well and safe.
Y'all make monkey bread different than i have seeing we melt butter we take the biscuits and wrote it in a better than a cinnamon sugar and then we've put in the pan I like how you guys doing pour it over the top of it that will go good serve it with some ice cream

Don't forget to feed your basket once a week and water it every day it will grow wild .I don't know if you have Miracle Gro in the US but if you do I would feed it with that its fantastic for flowers โค

The monkey bread looks so good. I like orange flavor in food. Pretty apron. I got a digital meat thermometer I asked for from my son. The plant stays in the basket… it's pretty. I am the worst at keeping flowers alive so I wouldn't be able to give you advice on that lol. I love soft pjs. Butter pecan reminds me of my parents, that was their favorite ice cream.

The flowers need to stay in the hanging baskets and water daily. Try to water the dirt not the leaves and not when the sun is directly on them.
