Gingerbread Cookies or Christmas Treats
An easy recipe that anyone can follow to bake delicious gingerbread cookies!

Ingredients:

Flour – 400 g
Butter – 100 g
Sugar – 60 g
Eggs – 2 pcs.
Liquid honey – 50 g
Cocoa powder – 1 tbsp
Vanilla extract – 1 tsp
Baking powder – 10 g
Cinnamon – 2 tsp
Ground ginger – 1 tsp
Ground cloves – 1 tsp
For the Royal Icing:

Powdered sugar – 60 g
Egg white – 12 g
Lemon juice – 1/3 tsp
Steps:

Beat softened butter with sugar, vanilla extract, and liquid honey until smooth and airy (2–3 minutes). Make sure the honey is liquid.
Add eggs and continue beating until fully combined.
Mix the flour with cocoa, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and baking powder, then sift it into the bowl with the wet ingredients.
Knead a soft, pliable dough. You can use it right away, but if you have time, wrap it in cling film and refrigerate for 1 hour. Before rolling, let the dough sit at room temperature to make it more elastic.
Divide the dough into portions. Lightly flour your work surface, roll out the dough to 3–4 mm thickness, and cut out cookies using cutters. Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Bake the cookies at 180°C (356°F) for 10–12 minutes. Let them cool completely.
Prepare the royal icing: Beat the egg white until foamy, add powdered sugar and lemon juice, and continue beating until smooth.
Decorate the cookies with the icing.
