Looks like a good Irish breakfast to me 🙂
Very nice. I've made plum duff but this apple duff is a bit different. This looks like a medium custard rather than a creme Anglais. Is that right?
Thank you for the feedback. We stumbled upon this recipe when researching Irish Desserts. It actually tastes very much like an apple pie but is much easier to make. I havent made plum duff, I will have to check it out. You are correct this is a light pouring custard. Thanks for watching.
Okay Luck good how Happy
good
How do you make the custard?
Had never heard of this but it looks absolutely wonderful. Adding to my cookbook and will have to give it a shot!
Your recipe calls for a 250 degree Celsius oven, is that correct? Just want to make sure I get it right when I do the conversion to Farenheit
Great explanation, Thanks
Awesome recipe
I remember my father referring to what I heard back then as "Scrum Duff" but it may have been Scrump duff, Scrump for apple, as in Scrumpy = Apple Cider
hello, would like to try this recipe, but what is sultanas? plus, can you convert this to cups and tablespoon? Thanks
I'm Irish and we call this stuffed apples. apple duff or plum duff was cooked in a pot on the stove with apples and a sponge like mixture.
It's very pretty 🍏🥀 Thank you!! 💚
