LONG AWAITED Tutorial on how I make my layered Jelly!
Made in an 8in square cake pan.
Ingredients:
– 1 heaping teaspoon agar agar https://amzn.to/44rzFm4
– 1 heaping teaspoon jelly powder https://amzn.to/46CCXUQ
– 4 cups room temperature water
– 1/4 cup honey or sugar
– 1/2 cup strawberry, blueberry, blackberry, raspberry mix
– 1/2 cup coconut milk
– 1 teaspoon dragon fruit powder for color https://amzn.to/3U5RTmS
Instructions:
1. Mix the agar agar, jelly powder, and water in a pot
2. Bring it to a boil, continuously mixing
3. Once boiled, reduce the heat to low and remove the layer of foam
4. Add sweetener, honey or any sugar. Keep the liquid covered and warm on the stove, but not boiling.
5. While steaming hot, pour in just enough to cover the bottom of your pan.
6. Remove bubbles with a spoon.
7. As this first layer sets, gently place your berries.
8. Using a ladle, gently pour in the jello mixture to cover the berries. Remove bubbles.
9. Working quickly, add 1/2 cup coconut milk to the jello mixture and keep hot. If your coconut milk is chunky, strain it before adding it to the jello mixture.
10. Once the fruit layer has cooled enough so the top is bouncy but doesn’t stick to your finger when you tap it, gently pour in the coconut milk mixture starting from the edges. Pour about a half inch layer.
11. Add 1 teaspoon dragonfruit powder to the remaining jello mixture to color it pink.
12. Once the coconut milk layer has cooled down enough so the top is bouncy, pour in the pink jello mixture. The jello mixture mist be steaming hot or else the layers will not stick together.
13. Let cool to room temperature, then set in fridge for at least 2 hours.
14. Slice into squares and serve cold!
