Apple Pie From Scratch | Easy Recipe for Beginners

Ingredients

For Pie Crust
125 grams of flour
100 grams butter (cold)
2 tbsp water
1 egg

For Pie Filling
1 apple (peeled & thinly sliced)
2 tbsp brown sugar
Pinch of cinnamon powder

Method
Mix cold butter into flour, add a little water, and make a dough.

Chill the dough in the fridge.

Roll the dough between cling film sheets using a rolling pin.

Mix apple slices with brown sugar and cinnamon powder.

Place the pie crust dough on top of the apple filling.

Brush the top with egg wash.

Bake at 200°C for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 180°C and continue baking for an additional 20 minutes.
