7泊9日ベトナム旅行🇻🇳やりたいこと全部叶えた総費用|おすすめグルメ&ホテルも公開!

Hi, I’m Sumire ☺︎ This time, I’m traveling through Vietnam in search of its best food, resorts, and World Heritage sites. Da Nang Hoi An Dong Hoi Hue I visited these four cities❀ I planned everything myself—transportation, hotels—so I’ll share as many useful tips as I can♩ I’ll also reveal all the costs✎ Let’s get started✪ Flying from Narita Airport to Da Nang via Macau Mount Fuji was stunningly clear—lucky view✧ Arrived at Macau Airport Arrived at Da Nang Airport You can feel the tropical vibes the moment you land❀ Exchanged just ¥10,000 at the airport (10,000JPY → 1,670,000VND)
It’s said to be pricey here, but for small amounts it’s fine◎ Took a Grab taxi to the hotel Grab is a popular ride app in Southeast Asia—cheap, fast, and way more convenient than I expected! I recommend downloading and setting up the app before your trip so you can use it right away✎ Two adults, two nights—only ¥4,498! So grateful despite the weak yen❀ The place was a bit old, but fine for just sleeping Came down for the hotel breakfast buffet Didn’t expect much from a budget hotel, but there were lots of options! Home-style flavors that warmed my heart☺︎ Took the shuttle bus to Ba Na Hills, Da Nang’s famous theme park resort Highlights include the Golden Bridge held by giant hands and the world’s longest cable car, certified by Guinness I booked the entrance ticket and round-trip shuttle in advance on kkday♩ Walked about 10 minutes to the cable car station Even the path to the cable car was beautiful✨ Even with a pre-booked ticket, expect to wait about 10 minutes Still, buying in advance saves time—definitely recommended✎ Arrived at the boarding area This cable car holds the Guinness record for longest single track It takes about 20 minutes to reach the summit Ba Na Hills is a theme park located at an altitude of 1,487 meters The scenery keeps changing—so exciting! At one point, we entered the clouds and everything got misty Then suddenly, visibility dropped to zero…! The moment we broke through the clouds was breathtaking It was late February, and inside the clouds, short sleeves felt chilly💦 Those 20 minutes flew by🌸 The Golden Bridge is right ahead…! Arrived—so many people, wow! Even more impressive than the photos✨ The sea of clouds below the bridge was stunning The hands are apparently made of marble Beyond the Golden Bridge, there are even more spots worth seeing First stop: Le Jardin D’Amour (Garden of Love) Felt like stepping into a storybook—so magical Even the paths were charming—I walked with excitement Rushed to the cable car to catch another area I wanted to see Riding toward a castle by cable car—felt like another world Arrived at Louvre Station Inspired by the Louvre Museum Stepping outside felt like arriving in France Though colonial history is painful, it’s fascinating to see so many cultures in one place Too many beautiful buildings—I couldn’t move on! So many delicious-looking food stalls Suddenly, a super cute castle appeared…! The vibrant pink Lava Castle really stood out This might be the best photo spot☪ The ceiling decorations were gorgeous Got a closer look at the castle I saw earlier🏰 Under the bridge, it looked like heaven Next to it stood a giant-looking stone statue It was actually holding up the castle…!
Apparently it’s called the Atlas Statue Heading toward the castle in front Lunar Castle, a recreation of ancient European architecture It looked like it had been standing there for centuries…! The inside was so impressive I couldn’t stay calm Maybe I don’t need to go to France anymore (lol) I thought about trying one of the rides, but they looked a bit scary so I passed 😇 Took a short break and found a cat outside Got hungry, so time for a slightly late lunch Ordered the most popular grilled meat and pâté Packed with fillings and loaded with sauce—so tasty A bit spicy, but super satisfying
Might be the best banh mi of this trip After lunch, headed to the French Village Felt like a real town—so authentic After a short walk, arrived at the spiritual zone The French vibe vanished, replaced by a very Vietnamese landscape The atmosphere grew more and more sacred More and more Buddhist elements appeared Campanile (Bell Tower) Climbed the stairs It was a bit tiring, but somehow calming Inside was a one-ton bronze bell A robot was working hard to ring the bell 🤖 Admiring the Linh Chua Linh Tu Temple Right next to it was a European-style view
It felt like the border between Vietnam and France Arrived at the Medieval Fair, themed “Music and Fairytales of Europe” So nostalgic and adorable♡ There were lots of fun-looking rides, but no time to try them; Arrived at Helios Waterfall Seeing it in person was absolutely overwhelming Inspired by Greek mythology, 43 statues gathered here Time to head down by cable car—our shuttle bus is almost here Totally ran out of time… We came from 9am to 3pm and didn’t ride a single attraction—it flew by; If you want to enjoy it fully, I recommend staying until evening or going for 2 days✎ The cloudy scenery on the way back had a nice vibe too Heading back near the hotel by shuttle bus Waiting for our Grab ride Day 2 in Vietnam—first encounter with chaotic traffic Even in this mess, Grab still finds us perfectly—legendary Stopped by Han Market before dinner The smell of dried goods filled the air—pretty intense Pikachu!? Total chaos 🤣 Arrived at Da Nang’s most famous currency exchange shop Everyone recommended “Soan Ha” Just as rumored, got the best rate✨
(10,000JPY → 1,680,000VND) Though the difference from the airport was only 10,000VND (about ¥60) Since we relied on Grab, this was our first real walk around town Crossing streets without signals using eye contact Still had time before dinner, so heading to a supermarket Da Nang’s popular supermarket—JOLY MART Famous for carrying lots of Japanese products Saw KitKats everywhere! Apparently super popular in Vietnam Ice cream had way more variety than in Japan Every supermarket had tons of yogurt and milk Seems like yogurt-based desserts are trending And dairy consumption is helping improve national nutrition Heading to a famous pizza place owned by a Japanese chef Arrived at Pizza 4P’s It’s been selected as one of Monocle’s Top 50 Restaurants in the World They use their own handcrafted cheese from Vietnam’s highlands Heard it’s always packed, so we made a reservation Ordered two half-and-half pizzas—so we could try four flavors Got homemade ginger ale for drinks It was legit ginger ale—so good He ordered apple juice Freshly pressed apples—super rich and tasty First pizza arrived!
(Margherita & 5-cheese half) The melty burrata looked amazing…! 🤤🤤🤤 The 5-cheese pizza was luxurious—hard to find even in Japan! No funky smell, just rich aroma that matched the thick crust perfectly 🧀 But the best one was the Margherita with burrata and Parma prosciutto!! The subtle saltiness of mozzarella and ham, plus rich cream—pure indulgence It’s pricey, but totally worth it✎ Second pizza: salmon & scallop sweet miso half The salmon is added fresh when served Fatty and high-quality salmon I usually prefer smoked salmon, but this was light and easy to eat Second best after the prosciutto one Last up: scallop sweet miso pizza A blend of Japanese and Western flavors—like a refined savory pizza Very mild, so even kids would enjoy it Two people ate a lot—total was around ¥5,200 On the way back to the hotel via Grab, caught a glimpse of the famous Dragon Bridge! Ran into a dog that didn’t look stray at all Today’s plan: visit My Son Sanctuary Grab took us to Ante Cafe, the shuttle bus pickup spot Booked the shuttle via Klook—round trip was ¥1,883 Got to witness real Vietnamese horn-honking skills up close 🤣 Arrived at the ticket counter Bought two tickets on-site for about ¥1,700 It wasn’t crowded at all—no need to buy tickets in advance♩ Definitely buy water before entering✎ Time to enter! My Son Sanctuary was registered as a World Heritage Site in 1999
It’s even older than Angkor Wat Ruins from groups A to L are scattered throughout the site—lots of walking involved 🚶‍♀️ After walking about 10 minutes, we hopped on a cart It was early March, but even in short sleeves we were drenched in sweat; We wanted to see the main spots first, so we went in reverse order Walked about 10 minutes to reach the first ruins Arrived at the first site: Group H Most of it was destroyed during the war—only the wall of the main hall H1 remains Though it was built in the later period (12th–14th century), you can still feel its deep history They used a unique technique—stacking bricks without any adhesive Felt like stepping into an RPG game world Caught just the ending of a Cham ethnic dance performance The Cham costumes, heavily influenced by Hinduism, felt more Indian than Vietnamese Arrived at the next ruins: Groups B, C, and D These are the largest ruins in My Son—super spacious✨ Also said to be the best-preserved group Group C’s temple was dedicated to the god Shiva Amazing that ruins from the 10th–11th century still remain The brick wall carvings were especially striking We continued on to Groups A → G → E → F → K 🌸 If you go without any background knowledge, everything might look the same—so I recommend learning about each area beforehand♩ Some areas were heavily damaged by bombings You can even see traces of bombings from the Vietnam War—it really makes you reflect Bought magnets of My Son Sanctuary and Ba Na Hills at the shop near the entrance♪ Took the shuttle and Grab back to the hotel to grab our luggage, then headed out for lunch Checked out a highly rated spot on Google: Banh mi & Coffee NHÀ VIỆT Ordered three banh mi marked “bestseller” for 123,000VND (about ¥700) Requested no cilantro Since we’re staying at a beachside 5-star hotel tonight, we got it to go Vietnam is famous for its delicious coffee ☕ We don’t usually drink coffee, but we couldn’t resist—headed to a café Found a stylish spot: Gear Cafe’ And Bistro Super chic interior They took about 10 minutes to prepare our drinks—felt the care in every step We asked for takeout, but it didn’t go through—so we had it inside; I ordered coconut coffee Not too sweet, refreshing, and easy to drink He got Vietnam’s famous egg coffee It tasted like coffee-flavored pudding—so delicious!
Loved that it wasn’t overly sweet✨ The croissant was crispy, fluffy, and delicious Despite its sweet appearance, the flavor was surprisingly simple Feeling excited in our Grab ride, heading to a five-star hotel Arrived at the hotel I was most looking forward to ✼ It’s a 26-story building that really stands out Booked a beautiful sea-view room for ¥21,000 ✨ Enjoyed a welcome drink in the lobby As expected of a five-star hotel—amazing hospitality Our room was on the 12th floor It was even better than I imagined 😆 From the balcony, you can see My Khe Beach Simple yet modern vibe—such a lovely aesthetic 😆 Starving, so I’m eating banh mi while gazing at My Khe Beach The view is just too luxurious ✨ It looks like a painting ◎ I ordered without cilantro, but all three had that distinct herbal flavor (maybe myoga?) They were packed with fillings and super satisfying—perfect for those who love that flavor After sweating at My Son Sanctuary, I took a quick shower After showering, it was already evening Spent some time relaxing without thinking about anything I’ve stayed at many hotels, but this might be the nicest room ever ¥20,000 for one night for two people—such great value 😀 Heading to the restaurant we reserved Highly rated on Google: Bếp Cuốn Đà Nẵng Spacious and relaxed interior, with lots of staff but a cozy vibe Ordered a popular Vietnamese set menu
(479,000VND ≈ ¥2,700) Drink: calamansi mojito Part of the set has arrived ✨ Mixed sesame sauce and chili sauce together Placed various veggies on rice paper Added banh xeo and kimchi on top, rolled it up—and done! The banh xeo was super crispy, and the chewy rice paper made a great texture contrast With seafood and meat inside, the flavors were complex and delicious 😆 The rest of the set was also amazing!! Fried spring rolls Grilled pork skewers Fried wontons Fresh spring rolls The fried spring rolls were meatier than they looked—crispy and delicious
Honestly, I wanted more! Sweet and spicy pork skewers with a slight Korean twist Tasty, but a bit firmer than Japanese yakitori The fried wontons were super crispy! Not much shrimp filling inside, but the crispy skin was addictive—I could eat tons Last up: fresh spring rolls Pretty common in Japan, so not super exciting—but easy to eat thanks to the mild flavor Two people ate and drank to our hearts’ content for about ¥3,000
Highly recommend if you want to enjoy Vietnamese cuisine all at once Took a Grab back to the hotel The room looks beautiful at night too Didn’t have time to use them, but peeked at the pool and gym Then relaxed in the room’s bathtub ♨ Such a great vibe—loved it Came down for the hotel breakfast buffet Had all the classic breakfast items, plus tropical fruits unique to Southeast Asia—so fun♩ Each dish was high quality ✨ Pretty sure the yogurt was homemade The flavor was just right for me 😀 Lots of variety, and everything suited Japanese tastes Such a happy morning ✼ Vietnam’s live kitchens usually serve egg dishes Loved that there were lots of breads too!! Wanted to eat fruit but was unsure about street stalls—so glad I could enjoy it at a clean hotel Tried central Vietnam’s specialty: Banh Nam
(steamed flour cake wrapped in banana leaves) It was fun trying Vietnamese specialties too Felt a little sad knowing today’s the last time I’ll see this view 🥲 Since it’s our last chance, we stopped by the hotel rooftop Next time, I want to stay here for three nights and fully relax While waiting for the shuttle to Hoi An, we visited My Khe Beach—but the smell was pretty strong (maybe just a bad spot?) Thought about visiting Da Nang Cathedral, but ended up zoning out on a bench for an hour Now heading to Hoi An by shuttle bus The bus was late and I got nervous, but luckily I was with a Korean guy who spoke Japanese—so reassuring Arrived in Hoi An after about an hour~ Hoi An is a town that’s a World Heritage Site in itself Once you go off the main streets, it’s surprisingly rural—that contrast really stuck with me Arrived at today’s hotel! Hannah’s House, about a 10-minute walk from Hoi An’s tourist area The receptionist in an Ao Dai was super kind ♡ The room was spotless in every corner—you could feel the pride in their hospitality ✨ Even in Japan, it’s rare to find a hotel this clean…!!
I’d definitely stay here again when I return to Hoi An The terrace view was refreshing too We were too busy sightseeing, but I really wanted to relax here; Now we’re walking along Hoi An’s main street Bought a ticket that lets you enter five historical and cultural sites of your choice Rushed through the spots I wanted to see Honestly, I think I would’ve preferred just strolling through Hoi An’s streets rather than checking off landmarks; So here’s a quick digest of the most memorable spots out of the five I visited ✨ 1. Japanese Bridge The bridge featured on the 20,000VND bill Built in 1593 by Japanese merchants to trade with locals Overlooks the Thu Bon River, once traveled by Japanese red-seal ships Inside is an altar dedicated to the northern emperor deity 2. Phung Hung Ancient House Considered one of the most beautiful examples of Hoi An’s traditional architecture From the balcony, you can see the Japanese Bridge and souvenir shops 3. Tran Family Chapel Built over 200 years ago to honor an official of the Nguyen Dynasty The altar had a solemn and majestic atmosphere There were lots of old coins—I was totally fascinated Coins from over 1,000 years ago!? Out of the five places I visited, this one was the most impressive ❀ Now heading to our reserved dinner spot The Hoianian – wine bar & restaurant They gave us the best seats in the house ✨ As night fell, the lanterns began to glow beautifully
We booked for the perfect time—6 PM This is a memory for life First dish: Hoi An sampler plate with fried wontons, white rose dumplings, and spring rolls The fried wontons were super crispy Unlike yesterday’s wontons, these didn’t have filling—more like chips, so a bit less satisfying The spring rolls were just as tasty as ever 😀 Not just crispy—they had a nice fluffy bounce, which I love ♩ Compared to yesterday, they were lighter and less meaty
Could eat a bunch of these Tried white rose dumplings for the first time
Vietnamese steamed dumplings with shrimp paste filling The filling was mild and easy to enjoy Second dish: Cao Lau Seafood Signature The sweet, thick sauce coated the noodles well
Tasted like a mild version of Japanese stir-fried udon Personally, I expected a richer flavor with more seafood broth Last dish: Hoi An-style risotto ❀ The seabass was super tender and delicious!! Mixed with plenty of parmesan—tasted like a high-end restaurant Hoi An at night is truly magical Came to a café for breakfast Ordered a Saigon regular and a cà phê sữa (Vietnamese milk coffee) For food: chicken pho and spring rolls Also ordered two paninis—chicken and veggie The Saigon-style condensed milk coffee was insanely good…!!
Best coffee I’ve ever had ☕ Rich aroma and flavor, but no harsh bitterness—super smooth Traditional Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk This metal dripper is called “cà phê phin”
Let it sit for 5 minutes The first coffee was so good it overshadowed this one
But it was still refreshing and easy to drink Light-flavored pho Out of all the pho I’ve had, this was the mildest
The noodles were chewy and easy to eat 🍜 Paninis are here~♩ Tasted like they had a hearty potato salad inside
Both paninis were delicious! Fresh spring rolls The veggies inside were super fresh and juicy
Rice paper had the perfect texture—so good ✨ The coffee was so good I bought some as souvenirs Took the leftovers to go Today’s travel day: heading from Da Nang to Dong Hoi Arrived at Da Nang Station Waited about an hour in the lounge before the train came It’s finally here~ Boarding the Vietnam Railway I booked in advance via 12Go 🚋 Arrived at Dong Hoi Station after about 6 hours The AC was comfortable, but 6 hours on a hard seat was exhausting 💦 Already used to the hawk-eyed taxi drivers 🤣 Staying two nights at a five-star hotel in Dong Hoi ♩ Arrived at the palace-like Meliá Vinpearl Quang Binh 🏰 A bit dated, but the room had a subtle aristocratic charm Had no dinner plans, so found a spot on Google Maps Turns out it was Lotteria (lol) Can’t believe our Japanese fast food chain is in Vietnam 😆 Ordered chicken burger set and mozzarella burger set Burgers and cola arrived about 5 minutes after ordering Tasted just like in Japan—reliable flavor 😊
Only thing missing was that fresh-out-of-the-oven warmth Chicken took about 10 minutes—fast food pace varies by country Freshly fried, piping hot
Crispy and juicy ✨ A bit tricky to eat with bones, but super tasty!! Went to a nearby shopping center to buy water and ice cream Headed to WinMart inside Bought two ice creams and a bottle of water The taste was pretty average 🫠 Came down for the hotel breakfast buffet The presentation was super neat and tidy ✨ You could build your own banh mi…!!
I was so excited but ended up forgetting to try it (lol) Lots of elaborate dishes—felt really luxurious So many fruits—it made me really happy ❁ Tons of Vietnamese dishes too We were in a rush so couldn’t enjoy it fully, but overall the quality was great ♩ The flavors were gentle, and there was nothing I disliked 😀 We had breakfast at three different five-star hotels this trip
Honestly, it’s hard to pick a favorite—they were all amazing ✨ Waiting in the hotel lobby for the shuttle to the Phong Nha-Ke Bang cave tour 🚌 Booked a day tour with shuttle service in advance via Klook ♪ Arrived at Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park We kept going deeper, and the speed and shaking got intense—pretty scary 💦 Motion sickness pills are a must Took a 5-minute break at the second stop The park is the size of 18,000 Tokyo Domes
94% of it is covered in primary forest Exchanged our tickets and headed toward the cave entrance Took a cart for about 5 minutes to reach the trailhead Then a 15-minute mini hike
(I didn’t know about this…! 💦) The trail was pretty steep—wearing comfy clothes is a good idea ✎ The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife and plants, including endangered species We didn’t spot anything rare >< (Surprisingly, not even many bugs 😀) Arrived at the lodge, drenched in sweat The park has 300 caves, with 4 open to the public We had 1.5 hours to freely explore Paradise Cave The cave was way bigger than expected—absolutely breathtaking Felt like another world Water with calcium drips down and forms stalactites It takes 100 years to grow just 2 cm How many millions of years did it take to form all this? The ceiling height reaches up to 200 meters Just overwhelmed by nature’s beauty The cave stretches over 30 km (Only about 1 km is open to visitors) Misread the meeting time and turned back after just 1 hour 💦 Heading toward the light at the exit—felt like a true explorer After descending, we headed to lunch Saw the Dark Cave and Chay River from the car The turquoise color was like Japan’s Shirogane Blue Pond After lunch, took a boat to Phong Nha Cave 🛥 Rode for about 30 minutes—barely any rocking, no seasickness The entrance already felt mystical It was so beautiful, everyone on the boat was speechless Formed 250 million years ago—Asia’s oldest limestone cave The cave is about 8 km long Visitors can explore around 1 km This is definitely a must-visit spot 📝 Got off the boat and explored inside the cave Stunning stalagmites and scenery straight out of a fantasy movie Paradise Cave impressed with its scale, but this one captivated with its mystery “Phong Nha” means “teeth cave” Felt like something out of an RPG game Reached the exit side During the Vietnam War, North Vietnamese forces used this cave to store supplies Heading back by boat Had drinks with everyone from the tour to wrap up the day Also tried some mystery beans Got dropped off at the hotel Relaxed a bit at the hotel, then headed out for dinner Arrived at Pizza Cat’s ✨ Perfect spot for us—cat lovers and pizza lovers Ordered two craft beers and a bolognese Plus a half-and-half pizza: margherita and pepperoni The owner personally prepares the dough after taking your order The margherita and pepperoni looked absolutely delicious 🍕 Both were super tasty! The thick crust was chewy and satisfying 🥰 Loved the bold flavor too I wish we had this in Japan! The bolognese had a comforting, homemade taste ♩ The pizza was so good we ordered a mini four-cheese pizza…!! It was loaded with rich cheese Every bite had a satisfying bounce 🧀 The staff were kind too—such a delicious experience Got takeout from a café near the station (almost missed the train—it came right at departure time!) Now heading to Hue by Vietnam Railway 🚝 Arrived at Hue Station Wanted to visit five places in one day, so we booked a private charter car via KKday 🚖 It was a packed day, but the car made everything super efficient ♩ Since the footage got long, here’s a digest of the five spots we visited ✄ 1. Imperial City of Hue The palace I wanted to see most—symbol of Vietnam’s last dynasty The massive gate was so impressive The Thai Hoa Palace, where imperial ceremonies were held, was built in 1805 and recently restored—so shiny ✨ The emperor’s throne was majestic and awe-inspiring You can even enter the area where the emperor actually lived Just walking here makes you feel like royalty ❁ Beyond the Chinese-style buildings, a Western-style mansion suddenly appears 😯 You can really feel the blend of Chinese influence and French colonial history ✨ 2. Thien Mu Pagoda Built in 1601, one of Hue’s oldest temples The octagonal Phuoc Duyen Tower looked like a beautiful model The Dai Hung Shrine, where monks train and pray Locals also come here to worship—such a peaceful and calming place ✽ 3. Tomb of Emperor Tu Duc Built in 1867 for the 4th emperor Tu Duc He used it as a villa during his lifetime The lakeside pavilion “Luong Khiem” was super romantic You can go inside and enjoy the lake view ♩ The stele inscribed with the emperor’s achievements was also memorable Usually stele inscriptions are written by successors But Tu Duc wrote his own He even included self-criticism about his weaknesses and failures Such contrast with the grandeur of the villa 4. Tomb of Emperor Minh Mang Minh Mang valued Confucianism This place had the most solemn vibe The harmony with nature was so soothing It’s over 20 km from Hue’s city center So it was quiet and less crowded 5. Tomb of Emperor Khai Dinh (a must-see ✎) Tomb of the 12th emperor, Khai Dinh Unlike the civil and military officials in front The soldier statues in the back were barefoot Not very large, but the Western-style decorations were stunning He loved France—makes total sense now The interior was even more extravagant Sparkling and dazzling…!! Mosaic decorations made from ceramics, glassware, and beer bottles Materials came from France, Japan, and various parts of Vietnam If you look closely, there are hidden details—like a “Where’s Waldo” experience ♩ For example, a clock stopped at the time of Khai Dinh’s death And a beer bottle labeled “NIPPON” 🍺 (They really used Japanese bottles…!!) The inside was even more incredible…!! So dazzling I gasped out loud The emperor’s body lies 9 meters underground beneath this gilded statue (Only Nguyen emperor with a known burial site…!) Though the tomb is smaller than others, it took over 10 years to build—makes sense now He raised taxes by 20% to build it, which caused major backlash It was seen as wasteful back then, but now it’s a tourist hotspot bringing in revenue… Gave a 200,000VND tip to our charter driver and said goodbye ^^ Arrived at our final hotel of the trip: Melia Vinpearl Hue Our room was on the 28th floor As expected from a five-star hotel ✨ Being able to overlook Hue’s city center—so luxurious The room was super elegant and luxurious ♩ After a quick 10-minute swim, we headed out for dinner It started raining—for the first time on this trip ☔ We were lucky with the weather throughout the journey Arrived at Madam Thu Restaurant – Taste of Hue ✨ A highly rated Vietnamese restaurant on Google Ordered a sampler plate of Hue specialties Drinks: local beer and pineapple juice 🍺🍍 They kindly explained which of the three sauces goes with which dish 😀 Banh Khoai—thicker than banh xeo—wrapped in rice paper Super crispy and delicious…! ✨ Apparently, Banh Khoai and Bun Bo Hue are Hue’s top two dishes Fried spring rolls (Nem Ran) were not just crispy—they had a dense, satisfying filling Tried Nem Lui for the first time! Minced pork or beef grilled on lemongrass skewers Tasted like a mix between salami and sausage—really good Steamed spring rolls called Bánh Ướt Unique texture but mild flavor—easy to eat Bánh Ít is a sticky rice dumpling Tasted great with the spicy-sweet sauce Bánh Bèo—steamed rice cakes—were served at every hotel breakfast Soft and jiggly—so tasty 😀 Hue specialty: Bánh Nậm Made by mixing wheat, rice, and tapioca flour Then steamed in banana leaves Felt like a cute little snack—so comforting (lol) The menu said “Banh Loc” but online it’s listed as “Banh Bot Loc” Spicy-sweet shrimp and pork wrapped in tapioca skin and steamed Honestly couldn’t tell the difference from Banh Nam; Finished with passion fruit So sour it made my mouth water just thinking about it…! But delicious Overall, the flavors were mild and suited Japanese tastes ♩ Best Vietnamese restaurant we visited on this trip!! Back at the hotel—checked out the rooftop bar Just took in the vibe briefly, then headed back to the room to sleep 🛏 Came down for the hotel breakfast buffet 🍽 The dining area had a calm, relaxed atmosphere Out of all the hotel breakfasts this trip, this one had the most variety and highest quality 😀 Loved the wide selection of breads 🥐 Lots of American-style dishes too Even the snacks and cheeses were top-notch Plenty of authentic Vietnamese dishes too You could customize your own bowl of Bun Bo Hue—Hue’s signature noodle soup ♩ It was our departure day, so we had time to enjoy breakfast slowly First time trying Bun Bo Hue Flat, slippery noodles—easy to eat The menu had some fun twists on the classics Really enjoyable Taking Vietnam Railway back to Da Nang from Hue There was a karaoke party happening onboard—so surprising! (Some passengers even joined in 🎤) There was onboard food service too ♩ Arrived at Da Nang Station First time in Vietnam—and it was so amazing I didn’t want to leave 😭 Returned via Da Nang → Ho Chi Minh → Osaka Rushed into Nakau at Kansai Airport for some long-awaited Japanese food Ended the trip with dinner at our favorite Tokyo Sundubu ✨ --END-- See you next time!
