【衝撃】シャトレーゼのホテルが想像以上だった…!ガトーキングダムせとうち宿泊レビュー🍰
Hello! This is Maru from the Maru Travel Channel. This time, I went to Chateraise Gateau Kingdom Setouchi. This hotel boasts an all-you-can-eat buffet of Chateraise cakes and ice cream! What kind of hotel is it? Let’s go! Here we go! Have you heard of Chateraise? Yes, it’s an affordable and delicious sweets shop, isn’t it? They have stores nationwide, and their cakes, ice cream, and baked goods are loved by people of all ages. But did you know that Chateraise also operates a hotel? There are 11 locations nationwide, including one in Hiroshima Prefecture. That’s it! Chateraise Gateau Kingdom Setouchi. We were able to stay here at a great price. I’ll explain how I did it later in the video, so please look forward to it. This hotel opened in full operation on September 22, 2024, and was originally a resort facility called Greenpia Setouchi. Gateau Kingdom Setouchi , a resort beloved by pensioners for many years , has been reborn by Chateraise. While the building retains its original charm, the interior is as bright and elegant as a dessert. A new story is beginning in this historic place. Next to the front desk is a local specialty corner, which is fun to browse. Since Kure City is nearby, there are many products, including ready-made curry pouches associated with the navy and Setouchi lemons, which have recently become especially popular. I ‘d love to try them all . The lobby also has sofas and a rest area, allowing for a relaxing atmosphere. Now, let’s head to our room. I’m excited to see what our room will be like. I can’t help but wonder what the view from the window will be like. Our room is on the fourth floor, right after we get off the elevator. This is convenient. Let’s go inside… tada! The entrance looks like this. The toilet is on the right. The door at the back is likely the entrance to our room. So, what kind of room is it? Eh? Wow, I love these colors. The brown accents create a bright and calming atmosphere. It’s nice. And it’s quite spacious. We’re a family of five, so this space is great. Wow, the view from the window is amazing. You can see the ocean! You can see the islands! The Seto Inland Sea! We’ll go for a walk later. I’d like to take a look at the room’s amenities, too. There’s a light and an air purifier with a humidifier. The low chairs and table are cute, too. There’s a TV on the wall. Hmm, there’s something there. It ‘s Seto Inland Sea . They said you can only buy it here. This is great. This is the closet. Of course, there’s Doraemon inside! Of course, there’s a futon inside. Next to that is the closet. It’s spacious enough. The bathing supplies are stored here, too. It’s nice to have a basket. Be careful not to forget anything when putting things on the upper shelf. The amenities here are also interesting . There’s a phone, charger, watch, notepad, water, tea bags, and bottled water, which is natural spring water drawn from the Southern Alps. It looks delicious. Is this drawer an explanation of the facility? I’ll read it later. Next to it is a hair dryer. Hair dryer performance is quite important. I don’t use it, but there are four people who use it, so if a dryer doesn’t dry properly, it takes forever. Oh yeah. The charger is also a concern. It’s hard to access with one hand. [Music] I’m glad it’s designed to accommodate various situations. What’s underneath that? It’s a refrigerator. What does it look like inside? Hmm? It doesn’t open? Huh? Upside down? That’s so silly… But it’s about the right size. Oh, there’s a kettle here. Now we can make hot coffee or tea. Next, let’s check out the toilet. Oh, it’s a unit bath. Well, since there’s a large public bath, I won’t be using the bath in my room this time, but it’s nice to have one in the room for various situations. The amenities are like this: razor, hair clip, hairbrush, cotton, toothbrush. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are all provided. The toilet also has a shower toilet, so don’t worry. The exterior of the room is also stylish. Now, let’s move on to the first event. We’re heading to a place I’m really looking forward to. Why, where are we going? Well, that’s a surprise for later, so let’s head there together. We pass by the lobby where we checked in earlier and pass in front of the gift shop. I’m also curious about this gift shop. I’ll take a closer look later. From here, we pick up speed a little. Going through the hallway, we turn left and find a staircase leading down . We take that down. The view outside is also intriguing, isn’t it? The interior is a cool design, with a warm brown color throughout. You can see the sound of a cafe on the right. Guests can actually enjoy welcome sweets here. What? You can eat cake right away? And is it included as a perk of staying here ? Isn’t this a treat for any Châteraise fan ? Wow, you can choose from these. It’s hard to choose just one. Which one should I get ? The types of cakes here are a little different from those lined up in Châteraise stores! Actually, the cakes here are from YATSUDOKI , a Châteraise Premium brand . Wow, as expected, it’s a cake you don’t see very often. Is it okay to have such a slightly high-end cake? I’ll announce my choice later. Drinks are included. The orange juice is “Natchan”. They also have hot coffee and tea available. There were no other customers when we went to the cafe, so we were able to relax without any worries. The counter seats with a view are also really nice. The view looks great. Now, the cakes have arrived. This is the Cheedra chosen by my daughter. Wow, it looks delicious. This is a pure fresh mille crepe. A crepe shell made with butter and honey, layered with pure fresh cream. This is praline chocolate. This is a strawberry and blueberry rare cheesecake. A cake made with rare cheese cream and mixed berry sauce, topped with strawberries and blueberries. And this is the cake I chose. Fres Rouge. It’s a beautiful red. The chocolate flower on top evokes the image of spring. Now, let’s start eating. I wonder what the inside is like. A smooth strawberry and raspberry mousse It’s filled with a tangy redcurrant jam and has a layer of cookies at the bottom. Wow, so that’s what it’s like. This is a must-have for anyone who loves sweet and sour cakes. Wow, the cake was delicious. I’m so happy to be able to try Chateraise’s high-end cakes. Now, let’s stop by the gift shop. There are so many delicious-looking things lined up. I wonder what they’re selling? Wow! So many different cakes lined up. Why am I craving more after just having cake ? They all look delicious. Oh, this is the Setoremon they had in their room. It’s a product you can only buy here. It had a strong lemon flavor and was delicious. There are also many other baked goods lined up . Oh, and here’s the ice cream section. Oh, they have frozen foods here. I haven’t tried any of Chateraise’s frozen foods yet. If you have any recommendations, please let me know in the comments. Chateraise ice cream is delicious, reasonably priced, and a must-have for our family of five. There’s so much I want to eat, but I just had cake, and I want to be hungry again at the buffet tonight, so I’ll have to hold back for now. What is a fluffy cheese bussee? What is a burnt butter melon bread? Hmm, I’m curious about everything. The shop isn’t that big, but it’s packed with all kinds of delicious things. I’d like to stop by again on my way home and buy something to take home. I’ll probably end up buying a lot. I’m going to the public bath before dinner! It’s open from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM and 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM. I ‘m looking forward to the bath, too! I walk through the corridor to the public bath in another building. It looks like the bathroom is on the second floor. There’s some unused space on the first floor. I’m sure something will be built here soon. I wonder what the second floor will be like. [Music] Oh, there’s something here. What is it? Hmm? Ice cream after a bath? Um, can I eat this? That’s the best! I’m having a really hard time deciding which flavor to choose , so I’ll head off to the bath. The men’s bath is back in the room. Hmm? What? A deer?! There’s a deer here. It’s eating grass. Let’s go see! Let’s go see! Are they still there? Hmm, ah! There they are! Are they pets? No, maybe they’re wild. But it’s rare to find deer around a hotel. This is truly a hotel in the middle of nature. I wonder how many there are? Oh, they’re running away like crazy. They run like that . I’ve seen deer at Itsukushima Shrine and Nara Park, but I don’t think I’ve seen them running like that. I’ll take a little walk around the hotel before heading home. I wo n’t go down here . I ‘ll go through the parking lot and head to the entrance. Oh, there’s something. Ah, the angle from here is nice. It’s a wooden deer. It’s kind of cute. It seems like the deer are one of the faces of this hotel. Further down this road is Sunshine Pool. It’s open only during the summer, from Saturday, July 12th to Sunday, September 14th in 2025. It looks like a lot of fun , with a long water slide and a lazy river . I’d like to stay here when the pool is open. This is the view from the cafe “Nami no Oto” I saw earlier. The gentle slope of the lawn stretches out toward the sea. You can even see the island in the distance, making for a truly idyllic scene. There are also various buildings lined up behind this. What’s that stove-like thing? It seems the facility in the back was used during the Greenpia era, and hasn’t been used since it became Gateau Kingdom. I wonder if it will be used for various purposes in the future. I’m looking forward to that too. It’s almost time for dinner, so I’ll head back to my room. It’s finally time for the long-awaited dinner. It’s no exaggeration to say that the dinner buffet was the reason I came here . I’d heard rumors about it, but being a Chateraise hotel, I was excited by the all-you-can-eat buffet and anticipation. We ate at Ocean Bliss, a restaurant across from Nami no Oto, the cafe where we’d first enjoyed the welcome sweets . The staff kindly guided us to our seat. Oh, there didn’t seem to be many customers there at the moment, which was a relief. We went straight to get it. First of all, meat, of course. I ate a ton of Hiroshima beef diced steak. But meat isn’t the only thing they have. Over here is beef stewed in red wine with local vegetables. Next to it is stir-fried shrimp and squid in oyster sauce. Next to that is penne with eggplant and cream cheese sauce. This also looks delicious, doesn’t it? Of course it was incredibly delicious. Next to that is a masterpiece! Macaroni gratin with shrimp and squid tentacles. I underestimated this at first. There are even more featured items lined up. Deep-fried local chicken wings. This is also incredibly delicious. Next to it are kushikatsu and Parmesan cheese, which I can’t help but grab. They say you can’t put Parmesan on kushikatsu! It’s so delicious. They also serve wine. They have draft wine straight from the brewery. That’s intriguing. Oh, alcohol is an additional charge . They also have a wide selection of soft drinks, so it’s kid-friendly. And there’s no extra charge. The coffee maker doesn’t just serve coffee. They have Iyemon sake. That would go perfectly with the cake. On the other side are lemon water and water. Next to that is a smoothie made with a mix of white peaches from Yamanashi Prefecture. It’s the best. So delicious. This smoothie is made with vegetables and fruits from the Yatsugatake area, and it’s healthy . After the drinks, we have prosciutto and cheese. It’s great when you’re drinking. The oranges around it are stylish. They also have a wide selection of salads. As a vegetable lover, I’m happy. They have French dressing and citrus dressing. The citrus dressing is intriguing. This is octopus salad. And there it is! Sushi. The decorations are also incredibly cute. Yes! I’m sure I’ve eaten too much of this! I can’t resist trying the local chicken red chicken yakitori. Grilled Setouchi Spanish mackerel marinated in salt and koji! I’m curious about this too. There it is! Beef ribs and stir-fried root vegetables. This is a knockout. Huh? What? This looks delicious? “Kamiishi Plateau Pork Kakuni” is another one of my absolute favorites – I want to eat it over rice!! This is Chinese-style yori shrimp and komatsuna. Yori shrimp refers to a large local shrimp found in the Setouchi region. Looks delicious. This leaf-shaped wasabi is served with amberjack hirasori. Hirasori is a sashimi cutting method that allows for thickness without shaving off any of the fish. So pretty! So delicious! The best! Next to it is marinated salmon, spring onion, and Seto lemon. This trio is unfair. I want to be the three Japanese players on the Dodgers. Finally, I’ve come all the way here. The ice cream section. I’m told I can eat all of this. I can eat as many as I want! This is unbelievable. They also have chocolate Bucky. And they have both vanilla and chocolate Tokachi azuki! Next to it were mini soft serve ice creams. I wonder how many I could eat. I wonder if my stomach would last. Well, ice cream is after the meal… I’ll have it occasionally in between, so let’s move on to the rest of the food… There was a pickle section and seaweed soup. Mmm, a delicious aroma was rising. Topped with green onions . “Yasurā Morikawa Sake Brewery sake lees soup with Kure Masuya miso .” Wow! The camera was fogging up… Next to that was, what! They even had conger eel rice? What a treat . Let’s see… Wow , what! Such a delicious color. It’s definitely delicious. Koi no Yokan is a new Japanese variety, somewhat large and chewy . Next to that was another danger zone. Fruit cocktail with lots of fruit. Next to that was “Mona Dora Koshian,” which I’ll introduce in more detail later. Oven-baked cheese buns. Going down to the bottom tier, there was a square short double cheesecake. They’re really the size of the ones you see in stores. Crêpes au Chocolat Caramel. This one is also filling, but so delicious I can’t stop eating it. Now, let’s have some Dorayaki. A new type of dessert developed by Chateraise, combining Monaka and Dorayaki . It’s a luxurious dessert with Dorayaki dough on top and Monaka dough on the bottom . I’d never thought of it like this before. This way, you can really taste both. The Monaka shell is so crispy. It sticks to the roof of your mouth and won’t come off. And what’s with the stretchy mochi inside?! What’s with the delicious bean paste that’s mixed in? This is an addictive dessert. Oh, and having Crepes au Chocolat Caramel while eating Choco Bucky . What a luxurious, dreamlike time. The Choco Bucky is vanilla flavor. Oh, I’ve already revealed that I’ve had Tokachi Azuki. It ‘s incredibly luxurious to be able to enjoy Chateraise so much . Let’s start with the Grape au Chocolat Caramel . Its bittersweet caramel cream and cocoa aroma are a delight for both adults and children . This crepe cake, featuring layers of cocoa crepe and fluffy, sweet marshmallows, is a delight for both adults and children. This is the oven-baked cheese bun. The dough is a moist cookie dough made with Hokkaido butter, egg yolks, and milk, and the filling is filled with three types of cheese. It’s bound to be delicious. Next up is the Square Shortcake, likely a square version of Chateraise’s Special Strawberry Shortcake . This classic Chateraise cake features a fluffy sponge cake and elegantly sweet whipped cream. It’s also a shortcake made with fresh strawberries . It’s simple yet crafted with carefully selected ingredients. And here’s the Double Cheesecake: Rare Cheesecake and Soufflé Cheesecake. This luxurious shortcake combines two types of cheesecake . The bottom layer is light and fluffy soufflé cheese, while the top layer is topped with a luxurious, creamy, and hearty cream made from rare cheesecake. I absolutely love this. The mini soft serve ice cream is made with milk from Hokkaido . I’ll have the chocolate flavor of Choco Bucky. Wow, I can’t believe I was able to eat such a feast and eat so much ice cream and cake to my heart’s content. I think I’ll say goodbye to the scale for a while. This hotel is a sin. So, I’m feeling full! Cock-a-doodle-doo! Today was another perfect day for travel! Rain!? The view from the window was a little hazy and mystical. Of course, I’m going now. The breakfast buffet! First up, French fries and the chef’s special hamburger. I ate so much last night, I’m scared of myself for eating it again in the morning. Next to it is a mini cream gratin and fried shrimp. There’s even tartar sauce. Fried shrimp is the best for breakfast. Oh, it says Italian pasta. I’ll definitely have that too. It says local chicken teriyaki! I have a bad feeling about this. There it is! It looks so delicious. Setouchi Spanish mackerel in saikyo -yaki is the best! Grilled fish is so comforting. But what a luxurious lineup for the morning. This is sure to make me full for breakfast. Oh, there’s a drink bar in the morning too. That’s great. This side looks like a bread section. Strawberry jam, blueberry jam, and butter. There are so many delicious looking breads lined up! Croissants with a buttery aroma. I want to eat the brown rice round bread with various dipping sauces. There’s also a toaster, so I can heat it up. Hmm, is this French toast? It seems they make omelets over here. So, omelet? “Yes.” Can I put everything in? ” Yes. ” Yes. That’ll do. “Just one, please.” Yes. You’re putting everything in? I’m as greedy as ever. It feels like a hotel when they make it right in front of you . The delicious smell of butter is irresistible. Oh, they ‘re finally adding the eggs. Four types of toppings are inside. Whitebait, ham, green onions, cheese. If you mix all of this together, won’t you be able to taste it? Oh well! You’ll have to wait until you eat it to find out what it tastes like. Oh, so you mix it all together. Do you like your omelets firm? Or do you prefer a soft, runny omelet? I prefer a soft-boiled one. I think they’ll make this omelet soft-boiled as well. It’s beautifully made, as expected. Um, I want to try a ton-ton. Oh. Oh. Wow. It’s quite filling. Amazing. Looks super tasty. The ham topping was just right. Those colors look delicious, too. Yay, I can’t wait to eat it!! I can have ice cream in the morning. I can have chocolate Bucky again. I also want to try the premium Kyoto Uji matcha ice cream that I couldn’t have yesterday . It’s the best way to start the day. They also have root vegetable chowder. Um, let’s see. Looks super tasty. It’s something that warms the body and soul. The spring onion topping means it’s ton-jiru (pork soup) with Kure-produced trout and miso! Wow, lots of pork swimming around. I’ve been waiting for this today too. There’s Hiroshima Prefecture’s “Premonition of Love” white rice , and…oh, wait, there’s even raw chocolate daifuku! Next to it is charcoal-grilled coffee jelly, made with famous water, and next to that is mango pudding and two types of yogurt: freshly squeezed milk yogurt and Yatsugatake Plateau apple yogurt ! They also have square shortcakes in the morning! What’s this? A fluffy roll made with freshly laid eggs. I’m happy that they also have the fruit cocktail they had yesterday in the morning. As for drinks… lemon water, water, and…oh, milk. I drank a lot of Yamanashi Prefecture’s white peach mixed smoothie yesterday. I wanted that for breakfast too. The “Yatsugatake Vegetable and Fruit Smoothie” is a classic, but can’t miss! Bacon and sausage. Oh, is this hash brown and meatball seaweed salad with salad? Setouchi hijiki and deep-fried tofu! The tamagoyaki looks delicious, too. It’s actually delicious. The rolled omelet is also delicious! Delicious! Chikuzenni! Simple and delicious. Homemade Oboro Tofu! This is rare. Wow! I’m so happy. Cold shabu-shabu made with famous water pork, mizuna, chrysanthemum , cheese, and soft salami . The prosciutto was replaced with soft salami. Citrus dressing and French dressing meant salad. A fresh morning salad is a must-have for a buffet. Oh, there’s some chicken on top. An omelet topped with ketchup. I also picked up a few other things. Of course, I wasn’t finished there, and ate my fill. I also tried a whole range of desserts! And I wasn’t finished there, either . I ate way too many ! Wow, everything was so delicious, it felt like I’d eaten a day’s worth of food in the morning. It was a feast. The two-day, one-night stay flew by, and I ate my fill of delicious food. Here, I’ll share some of the deals I used during my stay at Gateau Kingdom . This time , I got a free one-night stay with breakfast, using only my Chateraise points . Yay! I used my Chateraise points, Kashipo. At Gateau Kingdom Setouchi, 1,000 points can be exchanged for a two-day, one-night ticket for two. I added dinner, but the free stay alone was a huge bonus. While there may be an additional fee depending on the time of year , using points still offers a great deal. That’s why I always collect points when shopping at Chateraise. I especially recommend early reservations for Christmas cakes, which earn you eight times the points. Making good use of campaigns like this can help you accumulate points quickly and get closer to your trip. It would be great to enjoy delicious treats while also using those points to travel. I hope to continue using points wisely and enjoy more great trips. Our stay this time cost ¥38,100 and 2,000 Kashipo points. It was a two-day, one-night stay for three adults, including a high school student, and two elementary school-aged children. The breakdown was 1,000 Kashipo points for two adults with breakfast, plus another 1,000 Kashipo points for one adult and one child. We have another child, so the additional accommodation fee is 12,800 yen. Dinner costs 6,600 yen for three adults and 2,750 yen for two children, for a total of 38,100 yen. So, what did you all think of Chateraise Gateau Kingdom Setouchi? It’s not often you get the chance to eat Chateraise cakes and ice cream to your heart’s content , and our whole family had an incredibly fun time!! If you enjoyed the video, please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to our channel ! Thank you! We hope you’ll continue to support us so that you can have lots of fun trips and provide you with useful information when choosing a travel destination . See you again!!
