Here’s how you make the easiest pound cake that anybody can make, even non-bakers. There’s no way you can mess this up. In a bowl of a stand mixer, I got some flour and baking powder going down. And then I’m going to layer my sugar on top of that, my butter on top of that, my already beaten eggs on top of that, sour cream, and vanilla extract. You must layer those ingredients in that order. You’re going to mix this on low speed for 2 minutes, and then mix it on high speed for 3 minutes. You’re not going over 5 minutes mixing this.
