RECIPE
DAY 205 – Monkey Bread

Serves 8-10

Ingredients:

16 Unbaked Buttermilk Biscuits
1 cup (200 g) Unsalted Butter
1 cup (200 g) Brown Sugar
½ cup (100 g) Granulated Sugar
1 Tbsp (6 g) Ground Cinnamon

Process:

1) Preheat the oven to 350 degrees (180 degrees in Celsius), spray a 12 cup (2.9 l) tube pan with nonstick cooking spray really well and set aside.

2) In a medium saucepan over medium high heat, cook together the butter and brown sugar for 5 to 6 minutes or until the brown sugar dissolves.

3) Cut the biscuits in quarters and set aside.

4) In a large bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and cinnamon, toss in the quartered biscuits until the biscuits are covered in the cinnamon sugar.

5) Place the biscuit pieces evenly in the tube pan and discard any leftover cinnamon sugar.

6) Pour the brown sugar butter mixture evenly over the top and bake for 35 to 40 minutes.

7) Let it cool for 10 minutes and invert onto a platter. Pull apart and enjoy!
If you have leftovers, then simply reheat it in the microwave for 40 to 45 seconds and enjoy it as if freshly baked!

  1. Oh that looks delicious Ruta. I love anything with cinnamon. The brown sugar we have is very fine so perhaps that was the problem. Never the less, It looks wonderful. Thank you 🙂
