How to make Raindrop Cake / Recipe 水信玄餅風 寒天ゼリーレシピ
Raindrop cake – sweet jiggly Japanese dessert that resembles raindrop.
Simple recipe that uses Kanten agar agar powder.
Enjoy it in any shaped mold and decoration 🙂
Ingredients:
– 300mL water
– 1g kanten powder (agar agar powder)
– roasted soybean powder
– brown sugar syrup / Kuromitsu
Recipe:
1. In a saucepan combine water and kanten (agar agar powder).
2. Put saucepan on medium heat and bring it to boil. Make sure the powder is completely dissolved.
3. Pour mixture into cups.
4. Let it rest and refrigerate for couple hours until it sets.
5. Decorate with roasted soybean powder and brown sugar syrup.
6. Ready to serve.
材料:
– 水 300mL
– 粉寒天 1g
– きな粉
– シロップ / 黒みつ
レシピ:
1. 鍋に水と粉寒天を合わせる。
2. 鍋を中火にかけ、寒天を煮溶かす。
3. 型に流し込む。
4. 粗熱が取れたら、冷蔵庫で冷やし固める。
5. きな粉、黒みつをかけて、出来上がり。

Spray the bowl with a bit of water before pouring the cooked agar agar in to make it easier to remove later.
A little tip from mothers in my country, since we often use agar agar instead of gelatine 🙂
