Monkey Bread
Ingredients:
2-3 cans of non flaky biscuits, depends on the size of your pan. Adjust baking time.
1-2 Tbs. of cinnamon, to your liking.
1 cup of sugar.
1 cup of butter (2 sticks).
1/2 cup of brown sugar, packed.
Directions:
Cut each biscuit in fours. Add white sugar and cinnamon to a gallon bag, mix together and add the biscuits. Shake to coat and set aside. Melt the butter with the brown sugar. Arrange the biscuits in a Bundt baking pan and add the melted butter mix. Cook for 30-40 minutes. Cool a bit and flip over a platter bigger than the baking pan. Enjoy!
The origin of the term “monkey bread” comes from the pastry being a finger food; the consumer would pick apart the bread as a monkey would.
