Vegan Sweet Potato Chips Recipe

Ingredients:

1 Sweet Potato
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.

Thinly slice the sweet potato using a mandolin, food processor, or steady hand to maintain equal widths.

Lay the sweet potato out onto a baking sheet in a single layer. Drizzle with oil and sprinkle with salt.

Bake for 10 minutes, remove the potatoes from the oven, flip and bake for another 10 minutes.

The sweet potatoes are done when the edges begin to curl, but watch them carefully because they will burn.

Enjoy your crispy, crunchy, healthy snack.

  1. nice. my mom used to make them – slice with a potato peeler to have paper thin slices, dredge in melted butter, then in pulverized peanuts then bake as you do in the oven – wonder if we could substitute the vegan butter? I want you to know how much I look forward to your videos and enjoy them – I will support your cause – thank you

  2. These look quite good. I make something similar with Apples, topped with cinnamon, etc. (Apple chips). This looks like a great use for Sweet Potato's.

  3. I have to admit *hangs head* I've never liked sweet potatoes, but these look really good! Anything crunchy and salty and sweet is usually awesome! Thanks, Sweetest Vegan!

  4. I tried this but it didn't work I baked them on 225 for ten minutes on each side and they were still squishy so I left them and turned them every ten minutes for an hour and a half!!!! What did I do wrong????

  5. NO oil is really good for you., his argument is valid. It's a 120 calories per Table spoon with 14% saturated fat in the case of extra virgin olive oil (uncooked). It is the most calorie dense food on the planet with 100% calories from fat ( pure fat ) with saturated fat. instead eat whole food fats .
