🎄Gingerbread Cookies🎅
Ingredients (for 2 baking trays):
🔸️ 200 g honey
🔸️ 100 g sugar
🔸️ Spices: 1 tbsp cocoa powder, 1 tsp ground ginger, 1 tsp cinnamon, 0.5 tsp nutmeg
🔸️ 10 g baking powder
🔸️ 1 packet vanilla sugar
🔸️ 130 g butter
🔸️ 1 egg
🔸️ 450 g flour
Instructions:
1. In a saucepan, combine honey, sugar, spices, vanilla sugar, and baking powder. Heat over the stove while stirring constantly. After a few minutes, the mixture will lighten in color and start to foam. Once it becomes creamy, remove it from the heat.
2. Transfer the hot mixture to a bowl and add softened butter. Mix well.
3. Once the mixture has cooled, add the egg and mix again. Gradually add the flour, kneading the dough as you go. The amount of flour may vary depending on its quality. The dough should not be too stiff and should not stick to your hands.
4. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap or a bag and refrigerate for 1.5–2 hours.
5. After chilling, roll out the dough to a thickness of about 6 mm (0.25 inches). If you roll it too thin, the cookies will not be soft.
6. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for approximately 15 minutes.
