I woke up early today and got to work. I started my day by preparing hot water. I lit some incense to refresh the space. Today’s incense is Arashiyama incense from Kosaido, which I bought on a trip to Kyoto. I love sandalwood-based temple scents, so I collect similar scents. It’s a calming scent… I started my morning work while watching my favorite drama of the season. I made today’s to-do list. It’s almost time to head out for breakfast, so I’m getting ready. Today’s bag contents: My hand towel and planner are coordinated in WARM GREY TAIL. It’s not even 2026 yet, but my planner is showing signs of wear. Now, off I go. I went to Starbucks in Marunouchi. It’s my favorite store, with a view of Tokyo Station from the window. For breakfast, I chose the new bacon, egg, and cheese bagel sandwich. Adding a marker accessory to the straw makes it cute. Starting the day with coffee is the best. I really wanted to try the new soupcino, but I’ll hold off today… The soft bagel and salty bacon were delicious. I cleared up some backlogged tasks. Starbucks was empty that morning, so I was able to get some work done. I was so focused on my work that I was hungry. I went to a ramen place that looked like it would be open soon. I ordered the seasoned egg ramen, their second most popular dish. It had been a while since I’d had ramen, and it soothed my tired body and mind. I took a walk to Ginza. After enjoying some shopping, I took a break at Muji Cafe. I bought a bunch of new items at Muji. I went to Nagano Market for the first time. Usagi was cute today as well. For dinner, I went to Royal Host again today. Cosmo Doria, perfect for a cold day. It’s been a while since I’ve had Cosmo Doria. After reading “I want to talk at Royal Host until late into the night,” I was definitely craving it. The piping hot white sauce was amazing. For dessert, I had coffee jelly. I’m starting to understand how to enjoy Royal Host. It was a great deal to be able to enjoy such delicious coffee jelly for just 220 yen extra. After thoroughly enjoying dessert, I continued working. Muji stores also had a lot of new Christmas-themed items on sale, and I got so excited I ended up buying a bunch. First up was the Christmas donuts. I was convinced that the stollen-style donuts were my favorite flavor, so I immediately decided to buy them. I loved that they were individually wrapped, and I also loved the Santa stocking pattern. Next up was the truffle chocolate, which I always buy every year. I especially love the salted caramel and Marc de Champagne. Next up was the new caramel popcorn. The Christmas packaging is cute, and the individually portioned pieces make it perfect for sharing. Next up was the new Christmas ornament and candy set. Muji has finally released blind boxes. When I opened them, this is what the box looked like. The ornament was a chimney sweeper. My favorite gingerbread cookie is this one. I wish they’d just sell the individual cookies next year. Next up was the colorful chocolate, which I bought because I was attracted by the Christmas packaging. I’m happy that they’re bite-sized. Next up are the chocolate sandwich cookies that were all the rage on social media last year. I bought two varieties. The thick chocolate sandwiched between the cookies is irresistible… Next up is drip coffee, which I look forward to every season. The packaging is cute and Christmas-themed. Next up is the new candles, my main focus this time. As a fan of MUJI’s Woody scent, I was excited to see them go on sale. They came in three sizes, and of course I bought the largest, the L size. They look stylish and cute. I can’t wait to try them out. Finally, there’s the limited edition Winter Tree incense. I thought it smelled similar to my favorite Woody scent, so I bought it to try. That’s all for my MUJI purchases. There were lots of new products, so shopping was fun. Following on from yesterday, I woke up early for a holiday today. The crisp morning air felt so good, so I went for a 20-minute walk. I went home once to get ready and then headed out for breakfast. Since I was up early again today, I headed to Komeda’s Coffee with my sister for breakfast. It’s been a while since I’ve had Komeda’s Coffee’s breakfast, so I’m happy. I chose the butter and egg paste option. It was a generous portion of milk coffee. Early bird really does make a difference. My sister was busy working on her promotion exam assignments, so I spent the day reading a book she borrowed. She went to get her nails done, so I wandered around by myself. Since we were planning a picnic for lunch, I headed out to buy some things I wanted. I went to Shirohige’s Cream Puff Factory, where they sell cute Totoro cream puffs. I was lucky to be able to get one without having to wait in line for long. I still had time, so I checked out the capsule toys. I found the capsule toy I wanted. I bought a book at the bookstore. I met up with my sister and went to Soup Stock. We got takeout and headed to the park. The leaves were more colorful than the last time we were here. We looked for a nice spot for a picnic. We spread out a picnic blanket and started our picnic. This time, we prepared Soup Stock soup and Totoro cream puffs. We’ll eat them while they’re still warm. I’ve had Vermeer soup five or six times this season, and I’m very satisfied. It’s a perfect day for a picnic. I was looking forward to the after-dinner dessert. I spent the time relaxing and reading the book I bought. I’m so happy to be able to have so many picnics this fall. After that, it was shopping time . The illuminations everywhere were beautiful. I got a Sunsun novelty gift from the MatsuKiyo x Cocokara Fine collaboration. I also bought bread for tomorrow’s breakfast at CITY BAKERY. I found some rare tulips for this time of year, so I bought some to take home. When I got home, I immediately decorated the room with the tulips. The pink tulips are so cute. For dinner tonight, I’m making deep-fried cod and ginger. I rubbed the cod with ginger, soy sauce, and sake, and then coated sliced ​​ginger with potato starch and deep-fried it. I’ll grill the cod skin-side down. Once browned, flip and continue cooking. They were nicely browned. The scent is weak at first, but as the wax melts, it gradually becomes more fragrant. I’m reading with rooibos tea and some snacks. Today I bought the sequel to Nomura Mizuki’s “Tea and Madeleines.” The title and cover art are filled with my favorite things. Volumes 1 and 2 look even cuter side by side. I love both the time I spend searching thoroughly for a book that sparks my passion in a bookstore and the time I spend relaxing and reading in a comfortable space. Today was another great day. The tulips are starting to open. Yesterday, I bought morning buns and pretzel bagels at CITY BAKERY. Both are breads I’ve been wanting to try. Since I was there, I decided to make a one-plate meal, so I fried an egg and bacon. I made a one-plate meal with the morning buns, which I’ve been wanting to try. For dinner tonight, I made tofu and salted kelp spring rolls using Hasegawa Akari’s recipe. After wrapping the rolls in the skin, I deep-fry them in a small amount of oil. When the skin turns golden brown, they’re done. They turned out delicious. Tofu and salted kelp spring rolls/natto/salted kelp tomato/lotus root kinpira/rice/miso soup.
