Upside-down puffs, also known as upside-down pastries, are a delightful dessert or breakfast treat. Here’s a basic recipe for making upside-down puffs using puff pastry and your choice of fruit or filling. In this example, we’ll make apple upside-down puffs.

Ingredients:

For the Upside-Down Topping:

2-3 medium-sized apples (such as Granny Smith), peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
1 tbsp Fruit Jam
For the Puff Pastry:

1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Put some jam on a parchment paper, place apple slices on top and place pastry sheet and seal it.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden brown and puffed up.

Carefully remove the baking sheet from the oven. Place a large serving platter or tray over the baking sheet, and with oven mitts, quickly and carefully flip the upside-down puffs onto the platter. Be cautious, as the caramelized sugar will be hot.

Allow the upside-down puffs to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Serve the upside-down puffs warm, either on their own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for added indulgence.

Enjoy your delicious homemade upside-down puffs! You can also experiment with different fruits and flavorings to create variations of this classic dessert.
