Darn, I thought this video would be about people having a ufo religion.Only, to discover this was only the need that originates in the brain in most humans to believe and worship in a god.

Great conversation. To answer your question about a modern-day Heidegger, I'd recommend checking out Peter Sloterdijk. You'll find his post-Heideggerian work in his Spheres trilogy, and also in his book, You Must Change Your Life. And another, slightly less recent modern-day Heidegger, writing more in the '80s and '90s, is David Michael Levin (sometimes using the name, David Michael Kleinberg-Levin, depending on the book).
