It’s December, and there’s only one month left in this year. My head is already in Christmas mode. The air is very cold, but it’s a pleasant holiday morning with a clear blue sky typical of winter. I decided to bake bread in the morning today! . Cinnamon roll cravings that come regularly. The other day, I made cinnamon toast to calm down this feeling, but it still didn’t calm me down…🥺. This morning, I’m going to bake my long-awaited cinnamon rolls. Lately, I’ve been making a lot of overnight fermented no-knead breads, so it’s been a while since I’ve made bread by hand! . The reason I don’t buy a dough mixer or a home bakery is because the joy of making bread at home lies in making it by hand! I think this is because I found this process to be quite difficult, and ended up making only bread without kneading. But in the end, it’s been a long time since I’ve been mindlessly kneading bread, and it’s been a stress reliever! ! ^^. While the dough is fermenting for the first time until it doubles in size, I would like to introduce you to some of my favorites that I bought recently. The other day, I happened to be at a Scandinavian food stall fair, and I couldn’t help but buy this. Mittens with Scandinavian patterns and pot zabutons (← cute name). It is said to be a one-of-a-kind item made from pieces of fabric. The warm colors are cute and I received this set. I think the coffee pitcher will be happy with the fluffy Zabuton 😊. And when you think of Scandinavia, you think of Moomin. When I went to the Christmas market the other day, I couldn’t decide whether to buy a rotary candle holder. There was a Moomin version of the rotary candle holder, so I decided on it right away! . Let’s get back to making cinnamon rolls ^^. Fermented at 40 degrees until doubled in size (about 40 to 50 minutes). Let the dough settle during bench time, then shape it. This is the most fun part♪ Brush with butter, sprinkle cinnamon and sugar evenly, and roll. Today I’m going to try shaping it into a Finnish cinnamon roll shape for the first time. The Finnish style is made by cutting into a trapezoid shape and then flattening the middle so that there are two spirals pointing upwards. In Finnish, cinnamon rolls are called “kolvapusti,” which means “squipped ears,” and that’s what the shape looks like (lol). Once the secondary fermentation is complete, sprinkle with egg wash and crushed almonds and put in the oven. The whole room is filled with the nice scent of cinnamon. For drinks, try hot lemonade to warm you up on a cold morning. Instant lemonade just add lemon juice and honey to water and warm it up. The scent of lemon has a soothing effect, and the rich vitamin C in lemon can help prevent colds, so it’s recommended this time of year when the weather gets colder. I’m an early riser, so my favorite time of the day is the relaxing morning time. It may be cold outside, but if you spend the morning doing what you like inside a warm house , you’ll already know that it’s going to be a good day! Feeling like ^^. Decorate the table with cute things to make yourself feel better^^. Being surrounded by freshly baked bread, hot drinks, and the things you love will make your holiday mornings many times more happy^^. I think if I could take control of my mood in the morning at home and feel some small happiness, I would be able to live a fulfilling life every day ^^. This year’s advent calendar is a tea in a cute package. I look forward to drinking different tea every day.
